Chapter Report 7/12/2012
Bayou State Land Cruiser Association wishes all the Yota Guys and Gals a Happy Summer. We have been very active here in Cajun Country we hosted our Annual Crawfish Boil at Lake Fausse Point State Park back in April and are just getting back from a 4th of July BBQ last weekend at Palmetto Island State Park. BSLCA still gathers for its monthly meetings at Pete’s on Johnston St. a local Sports Bar in Lafayette, LA every 3rd Sunday of the month from 1 - 3PM. In June BSLCA showed its support for the LA4xFest in Hammond, LA an event hosted by clubs around the state to raise money for the charity TARC. We had a great time hanging out and mingling with other clubs, and showing off our rigs on the awesome obstacle course. A couple of our members have acquired new projects, and everybody is still trying to get to that magical word “Done.” I don’t think we’ll ever get there. We still make regular trips to Catahoula Recreation Area an Off-road Park in Sicily Island, LA. We also plan on attending the Louisiana Club Challenge in Sicily Island on September 28 - 30th and are also looking forward to our annual trip to Hot Springs for the Southern Cruiser Crawl. We look forward to meeting you on the trails and remember to Tread Lightly. Cody Romero
